A Little About Me
My love for art began early, growing up in Michigan City, Indiana, where strong school arts programs gave me an outlet to explore my creative side. While others excelled academically or athletically, my passion was always in the arts.

I studied at the American Academy of Art in Chicago, where the late Irving Shapiro sparked my lifelong love for watercolor. After graduating, I worked in advertising as an Art Director in Chicago, then relocated to Los Angeles where I spent 42 years in the business, finally retiring in 2025.

My rediscovery of watercolor began back in 2015 when I found my old art supplies tucked away in the garage. These hadn’t been touched since college. It was in that moment my passion was reignited and I began painting again. I had a desire to explore new approaches and techniques in an effort to paint in a looser, more expressive style. I'm still learning and working on that.
I hope you enjoy my journey through my work.
